Are you a Mathematics, Finance, or Management student at TUM? Then join the Fit for TUMorrow 2022 that will take place on November 11, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Department of Mathematics, Boltzmannstraße 3 in Garching.

The energy-intensive industry is particularly impacted by the high volatility of the energy markets, fluctuating prices, availability of raw materials, and the demand to minimize greenhouse gases. The FORRS workshop examines the real-world issues with planning and risk management in producing specialty chemicals and looks for solutions interactively. We will illustrate the pressure on the industry to adapt, especially with regard to decarbonization. Together, we will examine how European emissions trading works and what influence it can have on decisions about decarbonization measures.
